To avoid confusion I have started a side project which I would like to change to and the following FB page is for it and not my real Estate business. T2S is short for Travel 2 Surf and its a online retail surf store which allows you to earn points to travel to desirable surf destinations.
Define the difference between post reach and post engagement.
Post reach is literally how many eyeballs you can get in front of while post engagement is how many of those people are actually clicking and engaging with your page instead of bouncing out.
Why is knowing the difference important?.
You could be spending a lot on advertising to people who don't convert into customers therefor waste a lot of money.
After defining the terms, describe how a business can use Facebook Insights to better serve their customers.
Facebook is amazing at tracking a persons likes and dislikes therefor you can target your audience specifically making your funnel more profitable but also annoying less people who are not interested in your brand as well.

Week 5 post 2
I would like to start a Real Estate business in the next 6 months. My target audience would be adults from the ages of 30-55 who are looking to purchase a home in north county SD. Most likely professionals or business owners with families. I currently use social media and have in-between 1000 and 2000 followers.

Week 5 post 1
I am comparing chili's and Tericafe. Chili's target audience is incredibly broad, as a franchise they tend to serve families and adults across the nation. they're competitive pricing and current services like curb side pick up or the iPads on the tables allow them to compete in a wide market. On the other hand Tericafe is your local home made Teriaki and noodle house. They are going after a much smaller audience in and around oceanside who are looking for some kind of oriental food.

Week 4: Aesthetics, Design & Branding
The Bad:
Pennyjuice.com.
From a design perspective this website is a nightmare. It has to many bright colors and boxes which is very overwhelming. It makes me feel as if it was designed by kids instead of for kids. Its so confusing, Not easy to read, overstimulating. I Would remake the entire site simplifying everything and focusing on the ux. Instead of using so many colors I would use a 3 shade 2 color scheme with one extra color to add contrast in minor details.
Jamilin.com
Also super overwhelming, theres just too much going on. too may colors, elements and the video is obnoxious. I would simplify it as well bring down the colors and make the video shorter and a pop up.
The Good:
Apple.com
This is probably the best website to go to. they do everything right and are a staple for what design should look like. Apple takes complex things and makes them simple and beautiful. Their website reflects that in every way.
Toyota.com
Similar to apple Toyota does an excellent job keeping their site simple and visually appealing. Approachable and appealing is how I would describe it even though I'm not looking to buy a car its so inviting I just checked out some of them.

Week 3: Communication - Business & Consumerh
Hello everyone, this weeks discussion is a bitter sweet topic for me and I believe my opinions might be somewhat controversial, but before I start I'd like to disclose that I love a good debate and don't take any of this personal so I invite everyone to speak their mind and please don't take offense to any of my opinions. With that being said lets explore this topic!
In the past I have experienced trouble communicating with businesses. As frustrating as spending hours on hold or taking time of your day to drive somewhere I'm old fashion in the sense where I prefer to physically speak to someone or talk to a real person on the phone over sending and email, text or post. As far as communicating negatively via social media is something I have never done and am completely against. I have promoted businesses or expressed my gratitude for a service before but as frustrated as I was I could never bring myself to wright a negative review.
In theory I agree with the idea. Social media has brought more power to the consumer than ever over a businesses image and that should be a good thing. The problem I have is that far too often that power is abused. Most of reviews are written by customers who had a bad experience even if they are the minority. Even though I've only had positive experiences communicating on those platforms I also have been on the other end of it. I have worked for and seen businesses bend over backwards for a high need / low profit client just out of fear of a negative post. Ideally I would not want to do business with such a person.
Unfortunately that increase in power has come at the cost of the entrepreneur's freedom to do business with whom he or she chooses. Despite the fact that I disagree with it, if it was my business I would do exactly what everyone else is doing. There's supposed to be a choice but unfortunately in todays economy if you don't play the game your business won't survive!

Social Media Use Overview
Hello every one and welcome to my blog! In this post we are going to be talking about the use of social media, rather in business or social and everything in between. Specifically we are just going over three types and where they fall in that spectrum. These three are Instagram, Linked in and Facebook. I choose them because they all can be used for both social and business promotion. Nevertheless lets take a look at some of the uses of these three major platforms out there.
First I would like to talk about Facebook. In my opinion this giant lies right in the middle of the spectrum. Not only is this one of the best social websites out there to communicate with friends via text, video or audio chats, it also reminds you of upcoming birthdays and events. With one easy click you can visit your friends page and see all his informations and the latest news in that person's life. Lastly it also offers a news feed where it gives you an update of all your friend's newsfeed compounded and organized on your home screen. As far as the business side of things, this is also an incredibly powerful tool. There is not one type of business that can't profit from having a presence on this platform. Because its such a powerful social tool it allows your customers to also follow your business's page seeing the latest deals, promotions, events and products right on there newsfeed. Not only that but Facebook does a great job taking all of its users preferences among other data which allows it to create groups of target audiences to increase your ROI when marketing. This is a social platform for all usage which is not only its largest strength but also its weakness because out of all social platforms I would assume FB is the most saturated.
Instagram and Linked in on the other hand seem like they derived from FB each leaning toward a different and of the spectrum. Instagram took the more social approach where it also has a news feed but limited to messaging and uploading pictures or videos, its a leaner more approachable version of the social aspect of Facebook. This makes it a great social platform but also a great tool for business in mostly arts or creative fields. Modeling, Branding, selling products or information online are some types businesses that can really benefit from having a presence on this platform.
If Instagram is the younger cool daughter than Linked in is the nerdy successful older brother. Linked in's social aspect is more of a professional networking service organized in a very similar way than FB. This makes it an excellent tool for professionals in the job market who are looking for jobs or new opportunities to grow in their field. The business side is the focus of this platform and because of its serious feel its ideal to any employe or self employed industry. Self employed sales men, lawyers, accountants or any other entity selling services could profit from this platform.
Finally I would love to hear what all of you readers think, please comment below if you agree or disagree with anything that was said in this post and if there was anything left out which we should add.
Thank you all for reading, and have a great day!
